Fazzoletto is a famous design by Fulvio Bianconi and Paolo Venini. Fazzoletto is made by blowing a bubble of molten glass. The edges are then cut open, allowing the glass to flow freely and forming an asymmetrical flutter. It is then further shaped with a palette knife to resemble a handkerchief. Fazzoletto is the Italian word for handkerchief. New processing techniques in glass art and the modification of old ones were the subject of Fulvio Bianconi's creative research.
